Correct restraint: The top simulation shows a 6-year-old child properly restrained with an adult seat belt in a belt-positioning booster seat during a 35 miles/hour crash. Incorrect restraint:...

CHEST CLIPS are dangerous!!! In a crash, it can cause enough blunt force to one area! This being the chest, it can do a tremendous amount of damage whether it is placed correctly or not! Read up on it! Other countries do not use these because they cause more harm than good! Before you disagree and start the Karen rant, do some research! Remember, the government thats telling you its safe, is the same government allowing cancer causing additives in our food! Research that too!!!

DO NOT put a 40 pound child in a backless OR a highback booster. They should be harnessed until they outgrow their harnessed carseat. Harnessed carseats can hold up to 70-85 pounds max. There's far too many children being internally decapitated because they are rushed into forward facing positions or boosters when they are still too small just because manufacturers and laws are wrong about what is actually safest !!

    • @kimberlygraves9891

I read that the data is unclear if there's a benefit to keeping a child in a forward facing 5 point harness versus using the actual seat belt in a high back booster. There's a clear benefit to rear facing longer in terms of internal decapitation. It's sad when I see 2 year olds forward facing already. We just started using the car seatbelt with a high back booster for my 45 lb. 4 year old because he kept pushing the button to loosen his 5 point harness because he has sensory issues. I felt this was more unsafe than just switching him over to the seat belt. I kept him rear facing until he maxed out the seat at 40lbs. I wanted to keep him rear facing longer, but he's a big kid that maxed out his seat before the age of 4.

I agree! Sadly many parents don't do this. I'd also like to say more often than not parents shouldn't let kids around the age of 10-11 out of boosters yet they usually still don't fit the seat belt alone around that age sadly most parents let them out long before that.

Good video for new parents. Unless it's an older car from before the mid 1990s, it has dual front airbags, and virtually all cars in the last 10 to 15 years also have side airbags for additional protection in side impacts and rollovers, so this should be well known by now. Back seat is the safest for children. It's also worth noting that most if not all cars and trucks made in last 10 years have a passenger airbag sensing system that disables it if a child or child seat is detected and a warning lamp will indicate the passenger airbag is OFF, instead of a key to manually turn it on and off, which was found on pickups and sports cars with no backseat.
